The Freight Control Story
It all began in 1974 when a small-town enthusiast, Tom Harland, turned his passion for transport into a small venture. By 1978, Freight Control was formally established, setting off with just a dozen trucks that moved poultry from Connecticut to Massacheusetts, primarily servicing the bustling markets of Spring Field, MA.
As the company eyed expansion in the early '80s, Freight Control began diversifying its operations. Steering the company through this transition was the visionary leadership of Greg Harland. This change marked the beginning of a new era.
By 1989, the growth of the company necessitated a move from its first operations center to a more expansive headquarters at 237 Burnham St, East Hartford, CT.
Today, Freight Control has outgrown its humble beginnings and stands as an industry leader in transport, expertly managing the logistics of clients’ goods moving through the USA.
